Lower East Side Story #3 features the next two chapters of Snapshots from the Shooting Gallery which takes place in New York in the late 1970s/early 1980s, a city at the brink of bankruptcy and total collapse.
The Lower East Side (aka Loisada) setting for Snapshots shows—in real terms—a drug economy war zone and housing graveyard in the midst of one of the world’s wealthiest cities.
The neighborhood is taken over in this issue by a gang of west coast outsiders, who wreak havoc and destruction on a massive scale —but these are not the type of outsiders you expect! And Karina's relationship with her Dad and with Dwight both go to new levels. Dwight and Red end up in the middle of a drug deal that results in two unexpected victims.
